In this bureaucratic, departmentalized, pigeonholed and compartmentalized, institutionalized, I.D. numbered, stamped and labeled society – our “social problems” are tracked down, questioned, investigated and filed with an agency of the federal, state, county, city, etc. government, which strives to deal with the person in need in the most administrative and depersonalized manner possible. However, a group of problem people whose peculiar behavior has been familiar to most social workers (and most ofthe rest of us) for generations – has been left untouched by social investigators. This is a tightly organized community under the leadership of Mrs. Goose, AKA Mother Goose. This oversight has now fortunately been taken care of as evidenced from the following reports from Jack Roche, Investigator No. 42745, which were flown to my studio by The LittleDuck Flying Club. Our preliminary investigation has now been finalized in connection with the Mother Goose Community Social Survey. The purpose of the project was to ascertain the need for supportive structuring in anti-poverty, medical, psychiatric and social assistance, as recommended by the Senate Subcommittee on Antisocial Behavior. Investigation has revealed a deeply ingrained pattern of unusual habits, psychological maladjustment, and symptoms of mental instability.
